There's a aphorism in Marathi.."ek na dhad bharabhar chindhyaa". Which means No one is perfect all are Mad...
This perfectly suits the present political setup of the respective state....
Where presence of political parties is restricted to some specific regions ..as the most developed state of our country is having five major sub divisions which are Konkan Western Maharashtra Marathwada Khandesh And Vidarbha .. Here's existence of these five regions due to natural and historic diversity..... All of these five regions have different dialects,Food and mainly history... As we all know that this only state of our country has its history rooted inside the blood of the native residents ....... The very first chief minister of the state used to say that other states have geography but our Maharashtra is having its great history.....
So undoubtedly, history influences everything here.......
The Congress in every part of our country shows its prolonged presence due to its existence from the late 19th century..... It had its power full leadership in Vidrabha n the western Maharashtra from the independence..where First CM of state Yashvantrao chavan used to represent..similarly Vasantdada Patil n many others were from Western Part if state... Also the Region of Vidarbha where people are asking for separate statehood had very much effect of the congress as its the largest part of the state.... The longest serving chief minister of the state Vasantarao Naik who had regime of Almost 12 years was from this backward region... Also another 3 CMs including the present CM hails from Vidarbha.... The middle part between Vidarbha and western Ghats is Marathwada.... Also had a very deep rooted effect of congress as dozens of leadership at state and central level came from this side..... They are Shankarrao chavan ,his son Who's now state president N former CM Ashok chavan.... Vilasrao Dedhmukh And many others.....
This was of the congress till 90's.....it lost its charm after this... the whole was agitated up by the Ram mandir Aandolan and the demolition of the Controversial Building of Babri.... And the state saw 3 major political colours on iys canvas after this...... Step by step lets have a look.......
The state capital Aamchi Mumbai was attached to the state In very critical condition where the Gujratis are in a bit less numbers than the native Marathis..... So this was a critical issue where all the people of both communities were with their own stand....but finally Mumbai was given to Maharashtra with the presence of much population. Along with this the migration from Karnataka Tamil Nadu and North India was an issue as the natives were denied jobs In both the government and private sectors..... So in the late 60's Bal Thackeray established Shivsena to adhere the state and its Marathi identity and benefits for the sons of soil.... In the starting it was only restricted till Mumbai but later it has shown its huge potential in Konkan Marathwada Weatern Maharashtra and even in west Vidarbha.... This party believes in Hard-core Hindu Kshtriy Nationalism and Marathi Identity...... But unfortunately it is present in limited number in the state when winning conditions are analysed......
In the middle of 90s Sharad Pawar didn't get good position in congress and on the basis of foreign identity of Antonia Maeno aka Sonia Gandhi he left congress with two others... However this hasn't affected congress much but the state again get divided into political quanta .... Where Mr. Pawar Established the Nationalist congress Party which is now Deep rooted in Western Maharashtra... It has reduced the power of congress in the state permanently.....
Now lets see how the BJP came up.... The headquarters of the RSS in in Nagpur and hence the political wing of RSS which is the BJP started flowing from the Deputy Capital of state and after 1992 demolition came in power with 65 MLA's and now they have twice numbers.... But still incomplete.......
The only state of India where regional Satraps are in very less number but National parties are always a abig brother of them.... Here there's a problem of Mumbaians punekars and western Maharashtra people with vidarbha Residents... With marathwada also... Hence uniform rule of regional identity adhering political party is yet not successful..... Also national parties never adhered to statehood identity only in this Dravid State but it is also not possible for them to attain success.. . As the state has very large geographical area with differnce in History as well and its is never taken in consideration....
Anyway May Goddess Maa Bhavani will bless my state with a best political rule.....
